About the role
Serves as project manager and/or project engineer with autonomy for project-related tasks and as a designated client contact. May have project management responsibilities on multiple projects, depending on assignment.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for project schedules and the timely completion of projects.
- Aids in the coordination of estimating, scoping, and marketing strategies for proposed projects.
- Aids in the preparation of engineering agreements for projects.
- Provides street and highway design engineering analysis and computations and will be the Engineer of Record on some projects.
- Prepares or modifies reports, specifications, plans, studies, permits, and designs for various projects.
- May delegate and/or supervise the work of other engineers’ activities.
- Actively participates in supporting business development efforts, attends client and organizational meetings, and makes presentations in support of the client and projects.
- Visits construction sites to monitor progress and perform other duties per contract documents.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Civil, Transportation, or Traffic Engineer program
- 5+ years of transportation or traffic engineering experience
- Experience working on and with TDOT, county, and/or local agency projects/clients is preferred
- Licensed Professional Engineer, PE
- Ability to manage and collaborate with Engineers, Technicians, Clients, and Administrators
- Ability to contribute to several projects simultaneously
- Working experience with Microsoft Office, MicroStation, CONNECT, and ORD preferred
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to pass a drug test

- Proficient in Microsoft Office, MicroStation, CONNECT, and ORD
