What You’ll Do

  • Work closely with project managers and multi-disciplinary teams to design and deliver infrastructure projects that keep communities moving.
  • Perform and review advanced engineering calculations for roadway and transportation projects.
  • Conduct field surveys, site investigations, and substantial completion audits.
  • Develop scalable and detailed plans, profiles, and design drawings using AutoCAD, MicroStation, and civil engineering design tools.
  • Aid in proposal and work plan development, as well as project coordination, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Respond to Request for Information (RFIs), review submittals, edit specifications, and contribute to accurate cost estimates.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) reviews and ensure quality standards throughout all project phases.
  • Attend client and internal team meetings to define project goals and support construction-phase services.
  • Stay up to date with the latest DOT regulations, design standards, and best practices in transportation engineering.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Working knowledge of state DOT design standards, AASHTO guidelines, and related regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to manage time across multiple projects.
