What You’ll Do
- Work closely with project managers and multi-disciplinary teams to design and deliver infrastructure projects that keep communities moving.
- Perform and review advanced engineering calculations for roadway and transportation projects.
- Conduct field surveys, site investigations, and substantial completion audits.
- Develop scalable and detailed plans, profiles, and design drawings using AutoCAD, MicroStation, and civil engineering design tools.
- Aid in proposal and work plan development, as well as project coordination, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Respond to RFIs, review submittals, edit specifications, and contribute to accurate cost estimates.
- Participate in QA/QC reviews and ensure quality standards throughout all project phases.
- Attend client and internal team meetings to define project goals and support construction-phase services.
- Stay up to date with the latest DOT regulations, design standards, and best practices in transportation engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Working knowledge of state DOT design standards, AASHTO guidelines, and related regulations.
- Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to manage time across multiple projects.
