About the role
The role involves leading the design, technical delivery, and stamping of land development, site design, and infrastructure projects. It requires collaboration with project managers, surveyors, and external consultants to guide projects from early concept through permitting and construction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and stamp civil engineering plans including grading, drainage, utilities, and site layout
- Interpret project specifications, engineering drawings, and survey data
- Cook up with municipalities, agencies, and clients throughout the permitting process
- Perform engineering calculations and conduct quality control reviews on deliverables
- Provide technical guidance to project managers during project execution
- Participate in post-project reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians as needed
Requirements
- Active Professional Engineer (Civil) license
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience with grading, drainage, and site utility design
- Ability to independently manage multiple concurrent projects
- Familiarity with municipal and state-level submittal requirements
- Strong written communication skills for client-facing deliverables

- History of mentoring junior staff and contributing to team development
