Civil Engineer- Mid to Senior Engineer
Location: Seattle, Washington – Alaska Junction Neighborhood in West Seattle. Our office is a 3-minute walk from free parking, the C Line rapid-ride bus, restaurants, bakeries, and shopping. Traffic-dependent, we are 15 minutes from downtown and 10 minutes from Alki Beach.

Mayfly is a civil-engineering firm with an emphasis on integrated sustainable design. We specialize in projects sensitive to both social and natural environments, providing full civil-engineering services from early site analysis through construction documents and administration. Our portfolio includes stormwater retrofits, park projects emphasizing equity and access, and sustainable approaches. Current projects:

About You
We seek curious, collaborative, and independent engineers with strong problem-solving and analytical skills, a commitment to customer service, and the ability to work on several projects simultaneously. Positions may be full- or part-time, onsite or hybrid.
Requirements
- 4+ years of civil-design experience
- Professional Engineering License (or willingness to obtain)
- Western Washington design experience
- Interest in sustainable design and community improvement
- Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Expertise in project design and document production
- Proficiency with stormwater modeling using WWHM or MGS Flood
- Proficiency with local stormwater manuals and preparing stormwater calculations and reports
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, collaborative attitude, and willingness to learn and mentor
