About the role

We are seeking a dedicated, relationship-driven Civil Engineer (EIT) to join our growing team in Lake Oswego, OR. In this role, you’ll collaborate with a talented group of professionals to design municipal projects for our clients. You’ll play a key part in shaping the communities we serve by delivering high-quality, thoughtful solutions.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Prepare site layouts and designs in support of municipal infrastructure projects.
  • Perform engineering calculations and analysis to support design decisions.
  • Ensure project timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met in collaboration with project managers.
  • Coverage with internal teams, clients, and local agencies to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Review and interpret survey reports, maps, and as-built drawings.
  • Aid in the preparation of technical reports and cost estimates.
  • Stay current with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required.
  • EIT Certification or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computer applications used in civil engineering, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent computer, technical writing, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Valid Drivers license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience.
  • EIT certification with the ability and intent to obtain PE licensure.
  • Exposure to municipal and wastewater design standards and software.
  • Experience performing construction inspections to verify compliance with approved plans and specifications, and preparing detailed on-site observation reports.

Salaries and Benefits

  • Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as various market and business considerations.
  • The wage range for this position depends on experience and placement into a Civil Engineer I - Civil Engineer IV title.
