Civil Engineer-In-Training (EIT)

About the role

Sunrise Engineering is seeking a full-time Engineer in Training (EIT) to join the Civil Design group in the Vernal, Utah office. Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational support to Service Center Managers.
• Work on a variety of projects, ensuring no two days are the same.
• Gather accurate data and create precise project plans and blueprints through field reconnaissance and base mapping.
• Conduct construction observations to identify and address issues promptly, ensuring alignment with project specifications and safety standards.
• Perform grading design, drainage design and details, water and sewer design, geometric layouts of sites, roadway improvements, and related reports/analysis.
• Apply verbal and written communication skills for utility coordination and management.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate utilities seamlessly into projects.
• Take ownership of responsibilities, including completing SWPP Plans.

Qualifications

• Four‑year degree in civil engineering.
• Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification.
• Experience with Civil 3D/CAD.
