Civil Engineer II PE

About the role

Manages civil design, analysis, review, and construction. Assists Director of Public Works with roadway changes, infrastructure maintenance, and public safety. Manages speed studies. Assesses and inventories bridges/culverts. Conducts on-site inspections—driveways, utilities, etc. May assist with residential and commercial developments infrastructure and other special projects including inspection of road and bridge construction and asphalt paving projects.

Responsibilities

• Manages road and bridge design and construction contracts.
• Conducts on-site inspections for driveways, utilities, and related infrastructure.
• Assesses and inventories bridges and culverts.
• Manages speed studies.
• Assists with roadway changes, infrastructure maintenance, and public safety initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Five or more years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Professional Engineer License required or must be obtained within six months of hire.
