About the role

Assist in the development of plans and quality control for new and remodel projects. Develop and maintain site design standards and guides. Monitor construction costs, estimate budgets for new projects, and assist in forecasting expenditures.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor construction costs and estimate budgets for ongoing projects to assist with forecasting construction spending.
  • Assist Legal, Site Development Team, and Project Designers with estimating site development costs ensuring estimates are accurate and consistent with standards.
  • Communicate development agreements from Legal/Store Development, Construction, and Operations to ensure compliance.
  • Work with design consultants and manage design/construction standards to improve the efficiency of the Casey's Store Development process and costs.
  • Ensure new development sites have a thorough geotechnical investigation completed. Review and ensure geotechnical results are carried into estimates and construction plans.
  • Complete construction plan review to ensure consultants are meeting the required standards of Casey's and providing quality construction plans.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering from an accredited engineering program is required.
  • At least five years of related work experience in Civil Engineering or a Construction related field is required.
  • Familiarity with AutoCad.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
  • Ability to identify non-conforming materials.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Effective analytical, problem solving, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate and build relationships based on transparency and mutual respect.
  • Work is primarily in both an office setting and field site locations.
  • Travel in and out of state approximately 10% of the time with overnight stays is required.

Pay

Starting hiring range: $75,800 – $99,500. Actual pay may vary based on Casey’s assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience, education, and qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include local prevailing wages and internal equity. The full salary range for this role extends beyond the hiring range listed, allowing team members the opportunity to continue to grow within the company.
