Civil Engineer

About the role

The Upchurch Group, A Will Group company is seeking a Civil Engineer (FE/EIT) to join their team in Mattoon, Illinois. In this role, you'll work on transportation, water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects that directly support communities and utility systems across the region.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure design and engineering calculations
• Stormwater, water, and wastewater project support
• Construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates
• Permit applications and regulatory compliance
• Field observations and site visits
• CAD-based design and drafting

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• FE/EIT certification or ability to obtain within one year
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience with CAD software
• Interest in transportation and municipal infrastructure projects

Pay

The annual starting salary for this position is between $65,000 to $75,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
