About the role

This position offers an excellent opportunity to join the Cyntergy Civil Team Leadership Group, combining strong technical skills to solve site development civil challenges with continuous improvement efforts in design processes, QA/QC checklists, and production drawing/modeling templates (AutoCAD Civil 3D). The work spans local, regional, and national projects across diverse sectors including Federal Government, Local Municipal, Retail, Commercial, Healthcare, and Industrial clients. Responsibilities include leading large multi-million-dollar, multi-discipline projects or overseeing numerous smaller projects while mentoring civil designers and technicians.

Responsibilities

• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to create and modify site plans, grading and drainage layouts, utility layouts, and construction documents.
• Conduct site analysis and integrate topographical surveys and geotechnical data to inform design decisions.
• Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations and codes.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other team members to develop project specifications and budgets.
• Communicate with clients to understand needs, present design options, and address concerns.
• Perform quality checks and reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness of work.
• Create and maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, calculations, and reports.
• Provide support during construction, including responding to RFIs and reviewing shop drawings.
• Stay updated on AutoCAD Civil 3D advancements and site civil design practices.

Skills

• Successful completion of the FE exam is required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, with demonstrated ability to create complex site designs and construction documents.
• Strong understanding of site development principles, grading, drainage, paving, site constructability, and utility design.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of local building codes, zoning regulations, DOT, MUTCD, ADA/ABA compliance, and permitting processes is a plus.
