Civil Designer (Survey/CAD)

About the role

We are a growing civil engineering and land surveying firm based in Phenix City, Alabama, supporting a mix of residential and commercial development projects throughout the region. Our team is known for delivering highly accurate survey data and practical engineering solutions to clients across Alabama and Georgia. As we continue to expand, we are looking to bring on a Civil Designer to support our surveying and design teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare boundary, topographic, and ALTA survey drawings using Carlson CADDraft survey plats, legal descriptions, and base maps
• Process field data from survey crews and convert into accurate CAD drawings
• Aid with site layout and basic grading plans using Civil 3D
• Serve on residential and commercial development projects
• Collaborate with surveyors, engineers, and project managers
• Ensure all drawings meet company and regulatory standards

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in survey drafting or CAD design
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Carlson CAD (preferred)
• Boundary and topographic survey experience
• Construction staking / layout drawings experience
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a team environment
