Civil Design Internship (ND)

This internship is based in either our Fargo, ND or Bismarck, ND office. The Civil Design practice provides design services for municipal streets and utilities, state and county highways, freeways, bridges, parks, trails, and related facilities. This position has the potential for full-time employment upon graduation from an accredited Civil Engineering program.

Responsibilities

• Works on routine tasks according to specific procedures under close supervision.
• Assists design teams with the development of plans, reports, studies, and contract documents.
• Prepares project cost estimates.
• Performs field construction inspection services and assistance for survey crews.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Pursuing an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Demonstrates cooperative skills in working efficiently with a team and independently.
• Demonstrates emerging technical knowledge and creativity.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or Bentley 3D design tools; BIM tool experience for infrastructure preferred.

Pay

$25.00 per hour. Compensation is determined by factors including education, experience, skills, job location, internal equity, market analysis, and specific qualifications relevant to the role.
