Summary

Mortenson is seeking a Truck Operator responsible for operating various trucks as directed and adhering to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate Water Truck, Dump Truck, Haul Truck, and Tractor Trailer/Lowboy
• Follow prescribed safety regulations
• Maintain housekeeping in assigned areas
• Perform routine maintenance including lubrication, fueling, and cleaning
• Observe equipment operation for malfunctions
• Follow work plans and pre-task cards
• Build and maintain effective relationships with diverse individuals
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Related construction experience preferred
• Current driver’s license of proper classification and necessary endorsements as required by law
• Strong teamwork orientation
• Positive attitude and professional customer service skills
• Detail orientation
• Ability to move levers, shift gears, depress pedals, and maneuver steering wheel to operate equipment
• Ability to read and interpret documents related to safety, operating, and maintenance instructions
• Knowledge of equipment and their uses
• Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication)
• Ability to work independently
• Active listening skills and effective communication
• Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.
