Civil Construction Project Engineer

Responsibilities

- Ensures operational efficiency and maintains accurate documentation of project progress.
- Manages and trains quality assurance and quality control functions.
- Executes the company safety program, addressing unsafe conditions proactively.
- Attends and leads project meetings, ensuring timely project delivery and adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Manages BIM for the total station and oversees production tracking.
- Assists in quantity take-offs and produces project workflow plans.
- Submits and reviews submittals for project approval.
- Collaborates with subcontractors and trade partners to ensure successful project execution.
Requirements
- 4-year bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering.
- Experience with construction management software like Bluebeam, Procore, Outbuild, Primavera, Vista, Trimble, and CAD.
- Self-performing concrete experience or willingness to apprentice in the field for 3 months.
- Basic understanding of CPM scheduling and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of safety standards, including OSHA 30 certification.
Qualifications
- Strong grasp of all building construction trades.
- Ability to set and achieve goals independently with strong leadership qualities.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with construction management software.
- Understanding of critical path method (CPM) scheduling.
- Ability to manage and train quality assurance and quality control functions.
- Proactive approach to safety and quality control.
- Leadership in project meetings and QA/QC processes.
- Experience with BIM and production tracking.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
