Civil CAD Technician

About the role

Pennoni is hiring a CAD Technician for a full-time, direct position in Milton, DE. The primary responsibilities include performing CAD drafting using survey field data, preparing land development drawings, site/civil details, and assisting with field work.

Responsibilities

• Perform CAD Drafting while utilizing survey field data.
• Prepare Land Development drawings (including grading, utility, and SWM / E&S plans).
• Prepare various forms of site/civil details & exhibits.
• Provide office support; perform area, slope, and volume computations.
• Ensure scheduling and productivity objectives are achieved.
• Perform field work on an as-needed basis; observe construction and assist Surveyors.

Requirements

• High School Diploma (or equivalent).
• 2+ years of professional experience working in Civil Design and/or Civil Drafting.
• A Valid Driver’s License may be required due to field work needs.

Qualifications

• An Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering, Design Technology, or a related technical field of study is preferred.
• Proficiency with engineering / CADD tools; experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.
• Proficiency on standard Microsoft Office software applications.
• Proven ability to utilize technical mathematics.
• Proven ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to work in a self-motivated manner while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written); proven active-listening skills is a plus!

Pay

The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $65,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with flexible hours to accommodate project needs.
