Civil CAD Technician
About The Role
Collaborate with engineers on the preliminary layout of sites, grading plans, and water, wastewater, and storm sewer systems.
Draft improvement plans, supporting documentation, and permit application materials using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Affix plans and specifications for a variety of developments and infrastructure projects.
Produce accurate and well-organized drafting for boundary and topographic surveys, pipe networks, parcels, and subdivision layouts.
Understand and work efficiently within project schedules and budgets, keeping deadlines and deliverables on track.
Apply a foundational understanding of civil engineering principles and the permitting process to help ensure successful project delivery.
Use MS Office Suite for documentation, coordination, and internal communication.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or technical degree in Drafting/Design is preferred.
- 1–4 years of experience in civil CAD or drafting (entry-level applicants are welcome).
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office tools.
Experience With U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Drafting Standards
(Bonus, but not required—we’ll help you get there.)
