Civil Cad Technician
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Civil CAD Technician to join our team at the Indianapolis office. This full-time position focuses primarily on water, wastewater, and stormwater disciplines, including treatment facilities, utility distribution, and stormwater and sanitary collection systems.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, Civil Designers, and Civil Technicians to create graphic representations of projects.
- Utilize general to intermediate technical knowledge to work on road, sanitary & storm sewers, water distribution, treatment plant layout, building detailing, and site grading projects.
- Create accurate construction drawings with minimal supervision, including layout, geometry, utility, grading, profiles, cross sections, and summary tables according to standards.
- Incorporate and annotate Civil 3D design models into construction drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D modules.
- Assist Civil Technicians and other staff with printing and assembling construction drawing plan sets.
- Maintain and organize all drafting-related documentation, including computerized data and files.
- Mentor and train Civil Technicians and staff as required.
- Complete assignments on time and within budget.
- Perform duties such as structural detailing, document QC/QA, field investigations, basic computations for cost estimates, and other non-technical tasks.
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in various forms.
- Follow company QC/QA procedures.
Requirements
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D with 3-5 years of experience.
- Professional experience in water, wastewater, stormwater, storm sewer, and wet utilities disciplines.
- Ability to deliver final products with provided direction.
- Willingness to conduct field inspections when needed, with training provided.
Qualifications
- Degree in drafting/design, civil engineering technology, or related field.
- Experience in design calculations.
Work Environment
The Indianapolis office is smaller but equipped with up-to-date amenities. The work schedule is typically from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with some flexibility if needed. The position offers a personal cubicle workspace.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

Schedule
This is a full-time, Contract to Hire position based in Indianapolis, IN, with a typical work schedule from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This is a fully onsite position.
