About the role

Lead and oversee detailed design of airport infrastructure projects, including runways, taxiways, aprons, buildings, and utilities.

Ensure high standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance throughout all phases of project delivery.

Prepare comprehensive construction plans and specifications while actively contributing to project estimation and budgeting to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.

Partner with Professional Engineers and Project Managers to define project scopes, develop task hour budgets, create schedules, prepare fee proposals, and lead federal and state grant application and management efforts.

Stay at the forefront of industry excellence by mastering the latest airport design standards and innovative procedures.

Create and foster an empowered team environment by embracing individual accountability and contributing collaboratively to shared success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related discipline, demonstrating strong foundational knowledge and technical acumen.
  • Demonstrated experience leading planning, design, and execution of complex airport, FAA, and TXDOT projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas (required).
  • Proven success managing airport design and construction projects and leading cross-functional teams from concept to completion.
  • Consistent experience leading successful airport engineering projects within various regions throughout the state of Texas.

Qualifications

  • Ten (10) years of demonstrated experience leading planning, design, and execution of complex airport, FAA, and TXDOT projects, applying deep expertise in construction standards and methodologies.
  • Proven experience in proposal writing and client management with demonstrated ability to develop new business opportunities and win project proposals.

Benefits

  • Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $125,000 and $150,000 based on skill set and experience.
  • Full benefits package available.
