Civic/Justice Project Manager
About the role
We are seeking a Civic/Justice Project Manager to join our Architecture practice at HDR. You will deliver a variety of Civic/Justice related project types, including Administrative Buildings, Public Safety, Courthouses, Correctional Centers, Jails, and other Law Enforcement related buildings. You will also lead project teams, plan and manage all aspects of projects, and coordinate workload through the entire project development.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a variety of Civic/Justice related project types, including: Administrative Buildings, Public Safety, Courthouses, Correctional Centers, Jails, and other Law Enforcement related buildings.
- Design justice facilities with an emphasis on restorative justice and human dignity.
- Lead project teams having varied levels of experience and exposure to Civic/Justice facilities.
- Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium single-discipline projects and large, complex projects.
- Independently coordinate work of professional staff and balance team throughout entire project's development.
- Establish client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
- Participate in reviews with various governing agencies.
- Conduct work sessions with other staff.
- Cook with workload through entire project development, and ensure completion of documents on schedule.
- Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to schedules.
- Work with Business /Accounting Manager or Project Controller and Department Manager for project reviews and with company management as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture
- 7 years related experience
- A minimum of 2 years project management
- Registered Architect
- Must be able to lead a team on projects
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project)
- Good planning and mentoring skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Architecture
- Experience with justice, juvenile justice, and/or civic facilities
- Experience with DCAMM, Chapter 149/149A, and other New England public agencies
- Knowledge of Adobe Suite and Microsoft Suite
- Fluency with using Revit for project documentation and delivery
- PMP Certification

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.)
