Description of duties
- attend course planning meetings with teaching team
- be responsible for scheduling, holding, and documenting required and student-requested meetings with up to 30 students
- provide written and/or oral feedback on portfolio selection and introductions
- participate in Portfolio Workshops
- must have the ability to adapt to different communication instruction activities and move online if required.
Qualifications
- Candidates should have at least a Master’s degree in an appropriate discipline (such as, but not limited to, Communication, English, Engineering, Education, Technology Studies) with strong written and oral communication skills, and a demonstrated commitment to teaching communication
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
- Preferred qualifications include a PhD in an appropriate discipline (as above), and TESL or other training/certification in second-language instruction at the university level. Familiarity with engineering communication practices, or other experience in Civil Engineering education and practice is also highly desirable.
