About the role
The City of Bell Gardens seeks a visionary, collaborative, and results-oriented City Manager to guide the City through its next chapter of growth, innovation, and community investment.
The City seeks candidates with a Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, finance, or a related field, and a minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in municipal government, including five (5) years of management and administrative experience. Spanish-speaking ability is highly desirable. Prior City Manager or Assistant City Manager experience is preferred. Possession of a Master’s Degree in a related field is highly desirable.

- Manage municipal finance, budgeting, revenue diversification, economic development, organizational leadership, and community engagement.
- Possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, political acumen, sound judgment, and a commitment to transparency, accountability, and exceptional public service.
Requirements

Benefits
- $316,380 annually DOQ* plus an attractive executive benefits package.
- A mutually agreeable employment agreement will be negotiated dependent on qualifications and experience.
