About the role

Brodie League is a rapidly growing sports brand focused on providing an elevated, professional-quality basketball experience. As a City Launcher, you will open a market, recruit founding captains, secure venues, and drive growth.

Core Responsibilities

• Recruit a minimum of 24 founding captains per league, starting with known contacts.
• Build and maintain relationships with key community members such as coaches, trainers, gym staff, and local business owners.
• Identify and negotiate venues, securing commitments for game nights.
• Drive the referral program and ensure the venue is fully booked.
• Own the local demand story, creating buzz and interest in the league.
• Attend game nights and build relationships with players, captains, and fans.
• Monitor league health and collaborate with operations on game-night execution.
• Help develop the launch playbook for future Brodie cities.

Requirements

• Living in the neighbourhood or directly adjacent to it.
• An existing network within the local basketball community.
• Experience playing in a rec league or being active in a gym.
• The ability to close deals and manage conversations effectively.
• Comfort with technology and using CRM systems.
• Availability on evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to travel as the territory expands.

Nice to Have

• Experience running a run, league, tournament, training group, or community program.
• Experience managing social media for a local brand or community.
• Background in sports, events, hospitality, fitness, lifestyle, or entertainment industries.
• Experience in sales, partnerships, community management, or growth.
