Citrix Infrastructure Administrator

About the role

The DISA CESO ITSS team provides network operations and cyber defense support to the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), enabling secure and reliable communications for the Department of Defense (DoD) and Combatant Commands (COCOMs).

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain CVAD and Citrix ADC (NetScaler), including associated access components (e.g., StoreFront, Citrix Gateway) as required.
• Troubleshoot and resolve user connectivity, latency, and performance issues across geographic locations.
• Perform routine patching, system health checks, upgrades, and firmware updates for Citrix infrastructure, hypervisors, and supporting platforms.
• Manage security and access, including Active Directory integration, user/group access controls, and compliance requirements.
• Automate provisioning and administrative tasks using PowerShell (or similar scripting).
• Document configurations and operational procedures; support incident/change workflows.

Requirements

• BA degree and 4+ years experience with enterprise virtualization architectures and Citrix technologies (e.g., XenApp, XenDesktop, StoreFront, Citrix Gateway/CVAD).
• Hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting Citrix ADC (NetScaler).
• Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, load balancing, SSL/TLS certificates.
• Active DOD Top Secret level security clearance, and eligibility to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI.
• Willingness to take and maintain a CI/Poly8570 IAT Level II Baseline Certification (e.g. CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE).

Qualifications

Additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

Skills

Citrix certifications such as Citrix Certified Associate – Virtualization (CCA-V) or Citrix Certified Professional – Virtualization (CCP-V) are preferred.
