Citation Aircraft Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift - 1065

Schedule

Our 2nd shift schedule is Monday–Thursday, 3:00 pm–1:00 am. The shift incentive includes a 10%–15% premium, paid lunch, and 3-day weekends. Eligibility to transfer to 1st shift after 3 years is available.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems
• Remove and install panels and components
• Troubleshoot and problem-solve aircraft system/component issues
• De-fuel aircraft
• Engine removal/installations
• Operate ground support equipment
• Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components
• Assist in aircraft movement, performance runs, and taxiing
• Maintain and repair shop facility, equipment, and tooling
• Navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases using basic computer skills
• Effectively communicate (speak, write, read) in English
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or valid passport (ideal but not mandatory)

Qualifications

• AMT I: Airframe or Powerplant license required; Airframe preferred. 0–2 years aviation maintenance experience. Limited to moderate knowledge; requires close supervision.
• AMT II: Airframe or Powerplant license required; Airframe preferred. 2–4 years aviation maintenance experience. Considerable knowledge; requires general supervision on routine tasks.
• AMT III: Airframe license required; Powerplant highly preferred. 4–6+ years aviation maintenance experience. Full knowledge of general, detailed, and special assignments.
• AMT IV (Master): Airframe and Powerplant license required. 6+ years aviation maintenance experience. Extensive corporate aircraft experience; subject-matter expert.

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs
• Routine walking, bending, squatting, or sitting
• Repetitive physical motion with arms and hands
• Climb ladders and stairs; work in small, restricted areas
• Stand for long periods

• Understand and implement regulations and guidelines
• Troubleshoot or evaluate system operation
• Work professionally with others

Supervision

Work under the supervision of assigned Team Leader and Director of Maintenance. May be directed to supervise other technicians in some capacity.

Working Conditions

• Hangar environment subject to extreme temperature variations
• Outdoor work during aircraft runs
• Varied positions in and around aircraft

• Personal hand tools supplied by the mechanic
• Pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical equipment
• Jacks, stands, lifts, and other support devices
• Tugs, power carts, and other engine-powered equipment
