CIT Co-Responder (Part time)
About the Role
This full-time position partners directly with Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) officers to provide on-scene crisis intervention, behavioral health assessment, engagement, care coordination, and follow-up for individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use crises.
Responsibilities
- Responds with CIT officers to behavioral health-related calls.
- Provides crisis intervention, assessment, lethality screening, resource linkage, and follow-up.
- Collaborates with hospitals, jails, and community partners.
- Maintains program statistics.
- Performs all other duties and tasks as assigned.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a human services field.
- Ohio licensure (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and required automobile insurance.
- Ohio behavioral health license or eligibility within 6 months.
Skills
- Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Computer Skills: Ability to gain knowledge of current practice management system, electronic medical record, Microsoft Word, text paging, Internet, and Intranet.
