Circulation Services Evening Supervisor

Smith University Job Description Circulation Services Evening Supervisor: Responsible for overseeing circulation operations and library services, including supervising student workers, enforcing library policies, maintaining facility security, assisting patrons, and managing circulation and service statistics. The position supports acquisitions and processing of library materials, outreach and promotional activities, online chat services, and routine library operations such as closing procedures, inventory, reserves and interlibrary loan. Requires strong customer service, communication, technology, and supervisory skills. A bachelor’s degree and at least two years of related experience are required; library, higher education, and web design experience are preferred. Salary Range: $45,000.00 To $50,000.00 Annually Qualifications A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required with at least 2 years of experience directly related to the primary duties of the position. Candidate must have knowledge and understanding in providing library services or customer services in a diverse environment. Candidate must have good technology skills, writing skills, and communication skills. Prefer a candidate who has worked with college students, is familiar with library services and procedures, and has web design experience. Managerial experience is required. Will consider candidates with a combination of work experience and education.
