About the role
The College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher for the Cultivating Indigenous Research Communities for Leadership in Education and STEM (CIRCLES) Alliance. The Postdoctoral Researcher will work under Dr. Philip Stevens but will also be involved in supporting Program Principal Investigators in the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences and the College of Natural Resources.
Responsibilities
- Support the research aims of the CIRCLES Alliance, particularly the analysis and dissemination of qualitative research examining the experiences of students enrolled in the Certificate in Indigenous Research and Education (CIRE).
- Contribute specialized research capacity to ensure timely, rigorous, and high-quality data analysis and porting aligned with existing project objectives.
- Advance research that supports Indigenous STEM, Indigenous Knowledge Systems, and Tribal Nation-building approaches within K-12 and higher education contexts.
- Work with interdisciplinary faculty, community, and tribal partners to support reciprocal and sovereignty-affirming research practices and dissemination.
Requirements
- Experience with qualitative analysis, Indigenous/community-based research;
- Working in team-oriented environment to accomplish shared goals.
Qualifications
- Doctorate in Education, Indigenous Studies, Anthropology, Natural Resources, or related field with a social science focus.
