About the role
The CICU Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care) is responsible for providing advanced practice nursing care to patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage acute medical conditions in PICU patients.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing procedures.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects related to PICU care.
Requirements
- Masters degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio.
- Current certification as a Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) from an approved organization.
- Experience in pediatric critical care or related field preferred.
