About the role

The CICU Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care) is responsible for providing advanced practice nursing care to patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage acute medical conditions in PICU patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing procedures.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects related to PICU care.

Requirements

• Masters degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio.
• Current certification as a Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) from an approved organization.
• Experience in pediatric critical care or related field preferred.
