General Responsibilities
Assist in operating the printing equipment and related auxiliary tools.
Print labels that match or exceed the quality expected by the customer.
Maintain and oversee equipment to ensure they are well maintained and in good operating conditions.
This position will be heavily involved in trouble shooting day-to-day issues related to printing.
Primary Focus
- Daily safety inspection of work area and addressing noted issues
- Operate the press in a safe manner following safety and PPO rules
- Analyze and follow the press schedule, planning what is needed for completion of a work order
- Utilize all auxiliary tools installed at the press for process control and traceability
- Communicate and share information about experiences and troubleshooting
- Perform corrective actions in a timely manner, identifying and segregating any non-conform product
- Proactively assist in improving process, methods, equipment, and materials
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Direction Setting: Possesses organizational skills with the ability to exercise independent decision-making in a demanding environment as well as take direction from the Press Operator
- Communication: Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally within the work unit and shift. Ability to follow written and verbal directions on tasks
- Execution: Ability to focus on goals, metrics, and results. Self-started who takes ownership and accountability for self and department. Uses resources efficiently, effectively, and timely
- Innovation: Must demonstrate an open and growth mindset, embracing change, stepping out of comfort zone, and applies creativity in generating ideas and solutions
- Analytical: Ability to approach troubleshooting, project development and business performance analytically utilizing technology skills

Required Qualifications
- A High School Diploma equivalent
- Demonstrated insight into mechanical and process analysis
- Ability to communicate in both verbal and written matters
- Ability to work overtime and any schedule that management deems necessary to maintain production
Preferred Qualifications
- Computer skills in Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
- Basic knowledge of plastic films
- Basic knowledge of solvent base and water base inks
