Responsibilities

  • Represent the school in a favorable and professional manner to the school’s staff, families, and the general public
  • Attend and participate in scheduled events, meetings, devotionals, and staff meetings
  • Possess a Commitment to Instructional Excellence
  • Seamlessly and deliberately integrate Biblical truth and Christian values into curriculum and instruction
  • Implore meaningful instructional techniques and texture in the classroom to engage a variety of learning styles and promote critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and innovation
  • Provide a learning environment and classroom management style built upon mutual respect and conducive to student learning
  • Provide a wide scope of instruction to reach the whole child: spiritual, mental, physical, social, and emotional
  • Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-organized classroom
  • Maintain records including lesson plans, student progress reports and report cards
  • Provide parents with regular updates of class and student activities, expectations and/or needs
  • Have a basic understanding of the Christian Classical pedagogy or possess a desire to teach within this educational philosophy

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a discipline closely related to the subjects to be taught
  • Advanced Degree in a related area is preferred
  • Solid biblical and theological foundation and understanding, and an eagerness to learn spiritually
  • Desire to teach within Christian Classical education; teaching certification or licensure preferred
