Chorus/ General Music Teacher at Pactolus Global School

Responsibilities

• Create and implement lesson plans covering music theory, types of music, and practical instruction with musical instruments.
• Teach music classes in general music, choral, and instrumental music to support students' understanding of music fundamentals.
• Evaluate student performance and track progress in areas like rhythm, pitch, and instrumental skills.
• Organize musical performances to provide students with opportunities to perform and showcase their skills.
• Collaborate with other school teachers to plan interdisciplinary activities that incorporate music education.
• Offer constructive feedback to students and parents and celebrate student achievements.
• Establish a supportive learning environment that encourages creativity, respect, and a love for music.
• Utilize a variety of instructional materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and promote music appreciation.
• Participate in professional development and mentorship programs to stay updated on music education trends.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Music Education or related field.
• Experience teaching music in K-12 settings.
• Strong knowledge of music theory, history, and practical instrument instruction.
• Ability to engage students and foster a love for music.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
