Chiropractic Center Case Doctor

Key Responsibilities

• Practice and teach direct contact chiropractic care using the Sherman System.
• Monitor and enforce professional, ethical, and legal requirements.
• Develop interns’ knowledge, skills, attitudes, and competence in vertebral subluxation analysis and correction.
• Contribute to the development of clinical education and patient care procedures.
• Assess intern competency and case performance.
• Collaborate with CITL to enhance teaching methodologies.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Evaluate patient progress and recognize contraindications.
• Communicate effectively with patients and interns.
• Document and follow-up on patient care procedures and co-management issues.
• Assist with examinations and report findings.
• Assist in maintaining the chiropractic center and reporting equipment malfunctions.

Professional Development/Scholarship

• Participate in onboarding and professional growth activities.
• Achieve annual professional goals.
• Engage in teaching and learning scholarship.
• Utilize individual and college-wide outcomes information for professional development.
• Modify teaching style based on assessments and evaluations.

Service to the College

• Participate in faculty senate and college committees.
• Mentor assigned students and faculty members.
• Lend support to college and center policies.
• Assist in the smooth operation of the chiropractic center.
• Participate in the evaluative process for self, department, and program.

Workload Expectations, Physical Demands, and Work Environment

• Minimum forty-hour work week with flexible scheduling during breaks.
• One hour per day for office hours.
• Physical demands include walking, standing/sitting, reaching, stooping, talking, and hearing.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and focus adjustment.
• Work environment is controlled with minimal noise.
