About the role
Perform routine cleaning duties throughout the chip mill facility to maintain a safe and efficient operation.
Responsibilities
- Remove debris and waste materials from production areas, equipment, and storage areas.
- Operate equipment to maintain standards.
- Assist with inspection and preventative maintenance of equipment and machinery to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Follow all safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Two years of heavy equipment experience.
- Must be able to complete written and field training for loader, forklift, skid steer, and any other equipment that may be used.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal job requirements.
- Ability to work extended hours.
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and ramps.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, shovel, rake, and perform any necessary requirements to keep the area clean and safe.
- Ability to work well in high places in excess of 80 feet, use man lifts, and work in confined spaces.
- Ability to work outdoors, on rotating shifts, and lift 50 pounds.
