About the role

We are looking to hire professionals for translating jobs online from Chinese to English and English to Chinese with adequate subject matter expertise and experience in Humanities and Social Sciences.

Responsibilities

• Translate manuscripts, research papers, and other documents related to Humanities and Social Sciences from Chinese to English and vice versa.
• Ensure accurate and culturally sensitive translations, considering the nuances of the subjects.
• Collaborate with translators and maintain terminologies.
• Provide translators' notes and collaborate with translators.
• Handle various sub-disciplines including Design, Language & Linguistics, Philosophy, Disaster Studies, Law, Psychology, Education, Library and Museum Studies, Recreation and Sports, Environmental Studies, Literature, Religious Studies, History, Media/Communication, Social Sciences, Humanities, Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Patent Application, M & A Contract, Companies Acts and Regulations, Intellectual Property, Buying and Selling/Trade Agreement, Other Countries' Laws, Business Alliances and Contract, Sales and Agency Agreement, Other Contracts, License Agreement, Nondisclosure Agreement, and Game Translation.

Requirements

• Recognized graduate qualification in translation from an institution of higher education.
• or Recognized graduate qualification in any other field from an institution of higher education with two years of full-time experience in translation.
• or Five years of full-time professional experience in translation.
• Native speaker of Chinese/English with proven English/Chinese skills.

Qualifications

• Fitting the Humanities and Social Sciences subject area(s) specified above and having the relevant translation experience.
• Command over Chinese and English languages.
• Looking for translating jobs online.
• Willingness to work on translation jobs from home.
