Chinese ↔ English: Business and Economics

About the role

We are looking to hire professionals for translating jobs online from Chinese to English and English to Chinese with adequate subject matter expertise and experience in Business & Economics.

Responsibilities

• Translating business management, economics, business communication, securities, lease, marketing (website, pamphlet, etc.), banking, real estate, company registration and company law, exchange, investment, administration, HR, and labor, insurance, finance and accounting, finance, accounting, and IR, consumer finance, monetary, financial affairs, and accounting, and business management and administration documents.
• Providing translation services for business proposals, marketing materials, presentations, technical & legal documents, financial statements, press releases, letters, articles, emails, manuals, books, medical records, and other documents.
• Working with clients such as Nanomizer, Sanyo, Morgan Stanley, Verztec Consulting, Mediacorp, Sembcorp Industries, Mitsubishi Car brochure local words Pvt Ltd, and others.
• Engaging in proofreading and editing English advertising copy and academic manuscripts.
• Assisting with relocation policies and providing relocation support for senior executives.
• Coordinating international relocations and providing face-to-face support for clients.
• Managing teams of QA testers and translators to localize games and other projects.
• Developing and overseeing timelines for translation and testing processes.
• Liaising between translators and development teams to ensure syntactical consistency across different language versions.

Requirements

• Recognized graduate qualification in translation from an institution of higher education.
• or Recognized graduate qualification in any other field from an institution of higher education with two years of full-time experience in translation.
• or Five years of full-time professional experience in translation.
• Native speaker of Chinese/English with proven English/Chinese skills.

Qualifications

• Fitness for the Business & Economics subject area(s) and having relevant translation experience.
• Command over Chinese and English languages.
