About the role

This is a full-time, on-site Chimney Sweep role located in Cincinnati, OH. The Chimney Sweep is responsible for performing chimney cleaning, inspections, and basic maintenance services at customer properties, ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently. Day-to-day tasks include removing soot and creosote buildup, checking structural integrity, assessing fireplace and flue conditions, and documenting findings for customers and the office team. The role also involves communicating clearly with customers, explaining services and safety recommendations, maintaining tools and equipment, and following company safety protocols and local regulations. Team members may assist with masonry repairs, fireplace-related work, and other service projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of chimneys and chimney cleaning techniques, with an ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces.
• Basic masonry skills or experience with brick, stone, or mortar work related to chimney and fireplace structures.
• Understanding of fireplaces, flues, and venting systems, including safety standards and proper operation.
• Customer service skills, including clear communication, professionalism on-site, and respectful interaction in customers' homes.
• Ability to follow safety procedures, use hand and power tools, and perform physically demanding work in varied weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation to job sites, valid driver's license, and a clean driving record.
• Willingness to learn company methods, complete training, and obtain any required certifications for chimney inspection and cleaning.
• High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in chimney services, construction, or related trades is beneficial but not required.
