Children's Therapist

Summary

Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources is seeking a Children & Youth Therapist to provide therapy services to youth in Jones County. The position is located at an outpatient mental health center in Laurel, MS.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical therapy services and emergency services to consumers and their families.
• Uses information from clinical observations to suggest diagnoses and estimate the severity of conditions.
• Develops treatment plans for each consumer and makes referrals to other programs as necessary.
• Documents each session using Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

Requirements

• Master's degree in behavioral health required.
• Professional clinical licensure preferred or must be able to obtain DMH therapist certification within 60 days of hire.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Auto insurance with liability limits of 100,000/300,000/50,000.
• Behavioral health internship required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain DMH therapist certification within 60 days of hire.

Skills

• Ability to build rapport with consumers.
• Experience in behavioral health preferred.
