About the role
The Children's Therapist provides outpatient mental health services in school and community settings, including individual, family, and group therapy. They conduct clinical assessments, develop and update crisis and service plans, and ensure treatment goals are met. Working as part of an interdisciplinary team, they collaborate with school staff, caregivers, and other mental health professionals.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychosocial assessments
- Develop and review crisis and treatment plans
- Deliver therapeutic services
- Maintain caseloads
- Participate in team meetings
- Perform home visits
- Collaborate with school and community teams
- Ensure accurate documentation and data entry
Qualifications & Skills
- A Master's Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field is required.
- Candidates should demonstrate clinical competencies such as assessment skills, rapport building, cultural sensitivity, and developmental understanding.
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills are essential, along with the ability to complete required trainings and maintain credentials.
