About the role
Cultivate COOLinary Curiosity in Kids® by helping us turn kids' interest in food into a lifelong passion for healthy eating.
Responsibilities
- Teach hour-long cooking enrichment classes for children aged 3-18
- Create and present creative recipes focusing on new ingredients and healthy foods from around the world
- Engage and manage groups of 8-14 children with diverse backgrounds and academic levels
- Provide hands-on learning experiences in basic kitchen skills and the history, geography, and language behind each recipe
- Lead weekly classes and prepare for instruction by shopping for fresh ingredients
- Work collaboratively with school staff and parents to ensure a positive learning environment
Requirements
- Availability at least 2 days a week (Monday - Friday, between 2-5 pm)
- Commitment to teaching full sessions ranging from 4-12 weeks
- ServSafe Food Handler Certification (can obtain before teaching)
- Ability to manage and engage a group of 8-14 children with diverse backgrounds and academic levels
- Access to reliable transportation
- Ability to communicate with our team in a timely manner
- Punctual and reliable
- No professional cooking experience required, but experience working with kids of varying ages is a plus
Qualifications
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required by districts and schools

Pay
