Children's Art Teacher

About the role

Kidcreate Studio is looking for a Part-Time Children's Art Teacher to lead art classes for kids. This role involves teaching students in a fun, messy, and creative environment using materials like slime, clay, paint, and glitter. The position is part-time (8–20 hours/week) with the possibility of more hours or a permanent role. The start date is August 2026.

Responsibilities

• Interact with students and parents/guardians during art classes and camps
• Command a classroom and effectively manage a fun learning environment
• Maintain a neat and organized work area
• Clean up after classes, including messes made by students
• Work well with others as part of a team
• Maintain a high degree of professionalism at all times
• Regularly lift and carry objects up to 25 lbs

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have a reliable car (personal transportation)
• Must genuinely enjoy working with children and be comfortable with messy art projects
• Must be highly dependable and reliable
• Excellent reading comprehension skills
• Proactive and able to carry out tasks with little direction after initial training
• Enthusiastic, creative, and adore working with kids
• Able to contribute to a fun learning environment while managing a classroom
• Willing to clean up after others
• Authorized to work for any employer in the United States (sponsorship not available)

Qualifications

• This position is well-suited for graphic designers, college students, retired teachers, paraeducators, freelance artists, ceramic artists, and daycare providers
• No specific art degree required—passion for art education is key

Pay

$10.00 per hour

Schedule

8–20 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours if desired.
