Children's Art Instructor

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in drawing, painting, color theory, and composition.
• A PDF art portfolio of 5-10 works or a portfolio website demonstrating the above skills is required with the application.
• Preferred candidates have experience teaching or working with children, are comfortable leading groups and managing a classroom, and are able to teach art techniques and build skills.
• Ideal candidates will have a degree or coursework in Art Education, Fine Arts, Design, or a related field is preferred.

What and who is Kidcreate Studio?

Kidcreate Studio is an art studio just for kids. Our art classes are a great way to introduce children to the beautiful world of art! We provide a positive, self-esteem-building environment for children to explore the visual arts. We specialize in children’s art and science classes, camps, and art-themed birthday parties.

What You Will Do

• Teach structured art lessons that develop skills progressively over time.
• Facilitate engaging classes for children of various ages and skill levels.
• Demonstrate drawing, painting, and other art techniques.
• Break complex skills into clear, age-appropriate steps.
• Provide constructive, encouraging feedback to students.
• Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment.

Compensation

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
