Children's Art Teacher

About the role

Kidcreate Studio is a fast-growing, locally owned company with studios all over the country. We specialize in children's art classes, camps, and art-themed birthday parties. At Kidcreate Studio, you will help children create fridge-worthy masterpieces, learn art concepts, and experiment with many different art materials. Weekly classes, camps, workshops, and homeschool classes are age-specific and tailored to provide each student with the curriculum that suits them best.

Responsibilities

• Interact with students during art classes and camps.
• Teach children how to create art using materials like slime, clay, paint, and glitter.

Requirements

• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Available three or more days a week to work in the afternoon hours during the school year.
• More hours available during no-school days and summer months; mornings, early evenings, and weekend hours also available.
• Must have a reliable car (skateboards, bikes, and roller skates are fun, but not sufficient).
• Enthusiastic, reliable, creative, and love working with kids.
• Truly enjoy making a mess and believe kids should be messy too!

Schedule

• 10-35 hours a week; potential to discuss full-time positions if desired.
• Afternoon hours required during the school year (three or more days a week).
• More hours available during no-school days, summer months, mornings, early evenings, and weekends.

Pay

• On average, teachers earn $45 for each 1-hour class taught, which includes prep time, class setup, class time, and clean-up time.
• Hourly compensation: $18.50 - $23.00 per hour.
• Mileage reimbursement.
