About the role
Kidcreate Studio is seeking Part‑Time Children’s Art & Science Teachers who believe slime, clay, paint, and glitter should be part of every young artist’s life. Teachers will guide kids ages 18 months to 12 years in creating art, exploring science concepts, and having fun in a mess‑friendly environment. Both permanent and seasonal positions are available, with opportunities to grow into full‑time roles.
Responsibilities
- Interact with students during art classes and camps, guiding them through projects using slime, clay, paint, glitter, and other materials.
- Deliver age‑appropriate lesson plans (provided) and ensure a positive, self‑esteem‑building atmosphere.
- Set up class spaces, manage clean‑up, and handle prep time as part of paid duties.
- Encourage creativity and a “messy” mindset while maintaining safety and supervision.
- Promote Kidcreate Studio’s programs, including classes, camps, workshops, and art‑themed birthday parties.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Reliable personal vehicle is required.
- Enthusiastic, reliable, and creative with a genuine love for working with children.
- Comfortable with making and cleaning up messes; believes kids should be messy too.
- Availability for three or more days per week during the school year, with flexibility for additional hours on non‑school days, summer months, mornings, evenings, or weekends.

Pay
Compensation ranges from $14.00 to $18.00 per hour.
Schedule
Typical workload is 10–15 hours per week, with the possibility of increasing to full‑time based on availability. During the school year, teachers must be available three or more afternoons per week. Additional hours are offered on non‑school days, summer months, mornings, early evenings, and weekends.
