About the role

Using LEGO® bricks, robotics, engineering, coding, and creative building challenges, our instructors help children develop confidence, creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking through hands-on learning. We provide the curriculum, lesson plans, materials, and paid training—you bring the energy!

Responsibilities

  • Lead fun, hands-on STEAM classes for children ages 5–12.
  • Deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons using Snapology's curriculum.
  • Create a positive, organized, and structured classroom environment.
  • Confidently lead groups of up to 18 students.
  • Adapt lessons to meet the needs of individual learners.
  • Prepare for classes using provided curriculum and training.
  • Represent Snapology professionally while communicating with parents, teachers, and school staff.
  • Maintain classroom organization, equipment, and teaching materials.
  • Teach both at our Dover Discovery Center and local partner schools (within approximately 20 miles).

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with school-aged children (ages 5–12) in a classroom, after-school program, camp, recreation, or similar setting.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Energetic, dependable, organized, and enthusiastic.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to local partner locations.

Teachers, paraeducators, education students, camp counselors, youth program leaders, and childcare professionals are encouraged to apply.

Schedule

This is a part-time position, typically 10-15 hours per week.

  • Required Availability: 3–4 weekdays (Monday–Friday), 2:30 PM–6:30 PM
  • Saturday workshops and birthday parties as needed
  • Daytime teaching opportunities are available but not required

Pay

$18.00 per hour
