Children Behavioral Health Technician

Duties

• Conducts the engagement process with families to identify natural/formal supports as outlined in the Arizona Model, Child and Family Team (CFT) process, and Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA) for enrolled families.
• Facilitates CFT/Service Plan meetings according to the Arizona Model and RBHA guidelines in order to create individualized service plans as identified by the CFT members.
• Ensures families understand the behavioral health process, the role of CFT Facilitator, and ensure family participation that links them to natural or community-based supports.
• Schedules CFT/Service Plan meetings with natural, formal supports, and system stakeholders.
• Sets up and runs group prevention or therapeutic group activities at assigned Boys and Girls Clubs of the Valley locations.
• Coordinates and schedules CFT/Service Plan meetings with natural, formal supports, and system stakeholders.
• Submits appropriate referrals to clinical outpatient services within agency and other behavioral health providers identified by the CFT.
• Updates and maintains electronic medical records on each case which include but not limited to; Annual Assessment Update, RBHA demographics, Child and adolescent service intensity instrument (CALOCUS), and CFT/Service Plan.
• Completes strength assessments and crisis/safety plans with families according to RBHA and the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) guidelines.
• Develops positive supportive relationships with consumers, family, stakeholders, and other Terros employees and Boys and Girls Club employees.

Qualifications

This position is open to candidates with a Bachelor's degree in behavioral health or related field, or those with a minimum of two years of relevant work experience. No prior experience in behavioral health is required, as training will be provided. New graduates are welcome to apply, and there is an excellent development opportunity available.
