About the role
Open Sky Community Services provides specialized programming for young adults and transition-age youth focusing on evidence-based practices like Peer Support and Supported Employment. The Occupational Therapist will support two programs: Ives House and Flex Support Services.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate youth and families using delegated assessments and provide verbal and written reports.
- Provide therapeutic interventions in individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with youth and families to develop an occupational therapy treatment plan.
- Identify and implement sensory diets and environmental adaptations as needed.
- Train and assist with the development of community integration, instrumental activities of daily living, and activities of daily living skills.
Qualifications
- A current Massachusetts License and National Board certification as an Occupational Therapist.
- Previous experience working with youth and young adults with mental health challenges.
- A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving history.
