Children, Adolescent and Young Adult Services - Occupational Therapist

About the role

Open Sky Community Services provides specialized programming for young adults and transition-age youth, focusing on evidence-based practices like Peer Support and Supported Employment. The Occupational Therapist will support two programs: Ives House and Flex Support Services.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate youth and families in both individual and group settings.
• Implement sensory diets and/or environmental adaptations as needed.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to enhance personal, social, and independent living skills.
• Collaborate with youth and families to develop comprehensive Occupational Therapy treatment plans.
• Identify and address sensory processing challenges.
• Contribute to the evaluation process by implementing delegated assessments and providing verbal and written reports.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts License and National Board certification as an Occupational Therapist.
• Previous experience working with youth and young adults with mental health challenges.
• Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving history.
