Position Summary

The Childcare Provider is responsible for the care and supervision of children at the First 5 Center while parents/caregivers are participating in Center classes or workshops.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide supervision to children whose parents or caregivers are participating in Center classes or workshops
• Engage children in child watch in age appropriate activities
• Prepare and provide snacks to children when indicated
• Prepare and clean Child Watch area before and after sessions
• Greet parents/caregivers at pick-up and drop off times
• Complete all required documentation in the database within established timelines
• Maintain accurate, organized family files and instructional materials
• Adhere to agency, funder, state, and federal confidentiality standards
• Attend team, collaborative, community, and all-staff meetings
• Participate in required trainings and supervision
• Maintain CPR/First Aid certification and professional boundaries

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with one (1) year experience working with children/youth in a similar service
• Bilingual Spanish; proficient in both English and Spanish
• Must meet all state-required conditions of employment, including: Fingerprint and Child Abuse Index clearance; TB/Health physical; Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and proof of insurance

Schedule

Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional weekend and evening shifts as needed by the program. Possible travel to Brentwood when needed.

Pay

$19.00 - $20.50 per hour
