Childcare Education Specialist

Main Job Responsibilities

• Program development and Teacher interaction development
• Review classroom interactions, behaviors, routines to identify development needs and provide support per CD.
• Identify training/resource needs in areas of program, sanitation, regulatory compliance with CD and provide hands-on support where needed or requested.
• Assist CD with special projects and classroom environments.
• Lesson Planning and Program development
• Incorporate developmental objectives into LP’s and oversee modification requests of staff.
• Integrate activities and developmental goals into Tadpole system and Daily Reports.
• Classroom Observations and Maintenance
• Conduct classroom observations as needed or requested by CD using current monthly observation forms.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience managing and overseeing a school or early childhood education program.
• Thorough knowledge of Pennsylvania Child Care Licensing regulations and compliance requirements.
• Meeting all applicable teaching qualifications.
• Working knowledge of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), Pennsylvania Keystone STARS, and Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts programs.

Pay

$16-18/hour, based on education and experience
